The Cuban human rights defender, Rosa María Paya, assured that she plans to travel to her native Cuba this Monday, November 15, together with members of the European Parliament, “on a humanitarian and observation mission”, when a peaceful march on the island, which was banned by the Cuban regime.
According to the activist, the group that intends to travel to the island will be made up of “Hermann Terstch and Carlo Fidanza, members of the European Parliament, and the influencer Alexander Otaola, among others,” says the statement, which was reviewed by Diario las Américas.
Paya explained that “an airline company” is carrying out the pertinent procedures with the “Cuban authorities” so that they can authorize the flight.
